FAQ

  • Which trip should we pick?

Try going through our charter selector page to help you! Click Here

  • When is the best time to book?

Our fishing seasons change throughout the year. If you have something specific you’d like to catch, make sure to ask about it before your trip. Regardless of the season, there is always something to catch in Jacksonville!

  • What happens if the weather is unfavorable?

We try to work around the weather as best we can! Less than ideal weather does not permit cancellation though. Your Captain is responsible for safety & decides when the weather is unsafe to go. In Florida, predicting the weather several days out is almost impossible. If conditions are unsafe, we will try to reschedule your trip or cancel your trip without penalty. Most of the time, we can delay our trip and wait for weather to pass.

  • Should we reach out to you?

After you book, we will call you directly. You’re welcome to reach out by calling or using the chat feature on this website.

  • Where do we go when we arrive?

Your pick up location may vary depending on the time of year and fishing conditions! We often leave from the Mayport boat ramp. Once you park, head down to the floating docks by the water. Capt Carson will greet you there!

  • What's the difference between inshore and offshore?

Inshore fishing is in the Intracoastal waterway fishing the creeks & tributaries of Jacksonville. Coastal fishing is offshore in the Atlantic Ocean.

  • What should we bring?

Bring some snacks for the day! Our trips are short but you’re welcome to bring lunch if you feel like you want it. We have water and cooler space on the boat for you. If you want any specialty drinks, feel free to bring them. Otherwise, do not forget a hat, sunglasses, and non-spray sunscreen. That’s it! Everything else is provided.

  • How can I avoid sea sickness?

If this is your first time going offshore in a boat then it is recommended that you take motion sickness medication to avoid sickness. It is best to take a half dose the night before your trip & the other half the morning of your trip. Eating something light the morning of your trip helps a lot too. Like a piece of toast or small sandwich

  • How far offshore do we go?

Inshore trips are in the Intracoastal waterway. We travel anywhere from 1 - 25 miles offshore. Generally, the length of the trip determines the distance we travel. However, we do not promise a distance because sometimes the fishing is better in closer!
