Capt. Carson Cook

Captain Carson Cook is a lifelong angler and Jacksonville, Florida native with a true passion for sharing the sport of fishing. Growing up on the First Coast, Carson spent countless hours exploring the St. Johns River, Intracoastal Waterway, and the offshore waters of Northeast Florida. Over the years, his love for fishing has taken him all over the state — from chasing tarpon and snook in Key Largo to targeting trout, redfish, and flounder in Sebastian.

Before earning his captain’s license, Carson spent four summers as a camp counselor at a local kids’ fishing camp, where he taught young anglers how to fish responsibly and confidently. That experience shaped his patient, encouraging approach on the water today — making him a favorite among families and first-time anglers alike.

Now the owner and operator of Captain Cook Charters, Carson runs a 22-foot Tidewater that’s built for both inshore and nearshore fishing adventures. Whether you’re exploring the creeks for redfish or heading offshore for kingfish and snapper, every trip is personalized, safe, and full of fun.

With years of hands-on experience across Florida’s most iconic fishing grounds, Captain Carson Cook combines true local knowledge with a passion for teaching — earning him a reputation as one of the top-rated fishing guides in Jacksonville and Northeast Florida.
